Said Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler, alongside the international conference of the Central and Eastern-European Academy of Oncology held a few weeks ago to Spirit FM.
In the interview, he stated that the focus of the conference held between June 14 and 15 were prevention, diagnosis and treatment of different types of cancer, as well as the framework of cooperation between countries. Perhaps the most important field of investigation within oncology is prevention. Therefore, it was especially important during the conference to emphasize primary and secondary prevention and Western-European trends pertaining to screening – he emphasized.
During the discussions, Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler touched upon the various factors contributing to the development of certain types of cancer, such as changes in lifestyle, pollution of the environment and the cumulative effects of external cancer-inducing factors in general, all of which contribute to oncological diseases.
The Central and Eastern-European Academy of Oncology has great potential when it comes to prevention and diagnosis, as well as treatment and research.
